I appreciate that I can't just ask you to go run off and purchase a load of software and a new Canon 1Ds Mark III. But, if the software that you do have doesn't allow you to do things like straighten and crop, well, then I have to say that you should download GIMP. It's free photo-editing software that's nearly as powerful as Adobe CS3.

So, software should most certainly not be the thing holding your photography back.

Oh, and most everything I shot before October 2007 was point and shoot. You can do amazing things with these cameras nowadays.

I shot that particular picture (and most all of the other ones) with a Kodak C713.
Not the best camera in the world, but it still takes pretty good photos, and I think I would be lost without it. :D

I shoot with a Kodak Z710. Does yours have manual settings ... aka ajusting the shutter speed, aperature, and ISO settings?
If you want some tips on how to do even better macro let me know!!

No, sadly it doesn't have manual settings...Sometimes I wish that it did, but I guess I can do without it for now. I'm hoping greatly to get a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTI....We'll see how that goes... :P
